Young Geomorphologists Initiative

Young Geomorphologists (defined as early career researchers who are typically < 35 years of age) are an important part of the ANZGG community. As a result of the 2014 conference, a Young Geomorphologists Initiative was set up to encourage greater discourse between researchers and students in early parts of their careers.

ANZGG Young Geomorphologists Facebook page

The first of these Initiatives is the development of a Facebook page which can be found by searching "ANZGG Young Geomorphologists" though Facebook or clicking on the following link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1380160412299422/.  

 The page is open to Young and ‘Old’ Geomorphologists alike, and includes discussions, as well as details of events organised by the Young Geomorphologists.

Awards ceremony: at ANZGG event at the 11th IAG International Conference on Geomorphology, 2-6 February 2026, Christchurch, New Zealand
